Fund Services Associate – Deployment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the new money deployment process and oversee fund investment approvals from start to finish.

• Authorize venture fund, rolling fund, and SPV investments for deployment on the platform, ensuring all prerequisites are met before deployment.

• Examine investment documents for precision, completeness, and conformity with internal standards; highlight risks, inconsistencies, and absent information.

• Assist internal teams in navigating investment documentation and the deployment process by providing clear guidance, ensuring smooth transitions, and reliable follow-ups.

• Manage the deployment of funds to portfolio companies, guaranteeing accurate amounts, timing, and necessary documentation.

• Accurately record investments in internal records, upholding high data integrity across all systems.

• Detect recurring issues and lead process enhancements to boost deployment efficiency, minimize errors, and fortify controls.

• Conduct sanity-check reconciliations with the fund’s general ledger, verifying deployed amounts, timing, and documented investment details to ensure alignment with source-of-truth accounting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of pertinent experience, with the willingness to develop context from the ground up.

• Experience in middle/back office operations within VC, fund administration, or related financial operations; familiarity with investment documents is advantageous.

• Ability to thrive in startup operations or high-volume environments with stringent deadlines.

• Experience from family offices may be highly relevant (broad operational ownership).

• Knowledge of investment documents (you have actively engaged with them, not just heard of them).

• Clear communication skills: you articulate thoughts effectively, escalate issues promptly, and keep stakeholders informed.
