Functions Manager – Staff Conference '27

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership to ensure the effective use of event function spaces.

• Oversee the creation, execution, and application of systems and processes for receiving requests, assigning, confirming, and fulfilling all city-wide function space requirements.

• Maintain precise inventory and guarantee cost-effective scheduling of contracted facilities and furnishings.

• Assist internal clients with their space requirements, ensuring excellent service and meticulous attention to detail.

• Employ appropriate systems and processes to design, generate, interpret, and distribute comprehensive function reports.

• Develop, implement, and manage a communication strategy involving staff.

• Collaborate with the catering company to negotiate meal costs and ensure catering is provided for special meals.

• Manage the budget and expenditures for assigned events.

• Possess two or more years of team management experience.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Previous attendance at InterVarsity conferences is preferred.

• Project management experience is preferred.

• Experience in event planning is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Willingness to travel as required.

• Attendance at mandatory events.
