Functional SAP FI Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver SAP FI consulting for financial initiatives involving SAP.

• Assist with SAP S/4HANA implementations and provide ongoing production support.

• Configure SAP FI modules and evaluate business processes.

• Execute FI-SD integration, functional design, testing, and client-facing consulting services.

• Develop functional specifications for enhancements and change requests.

• Transform business requirements into functional and high-level technical designs.

• Create test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

• Organize and oversee batch job scheduling.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership.

• Operate independently as an individual contributor.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of practical experience in SAP Finance.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and production support roles.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP FI fundamentals, configurations, transactions, tables, and reports.

• Proficient in New GL, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Center Accounting, and Profit Center Accounting.

• Strong experience in FI-SD integration.

• Familiarity with preparing functional specifications for enhancements and change requests.

• Experience in converting business needs into functional and high-level technical designs.

• Robust testing experience, including the development of test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

• Experience in scheduling and monitoring batch jobs.

• Hands-on experience in production support.

• Experience in client-facing roles.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously as an individual contributor.

• Preferred: familiarity with resource-related billing processes.

• Preferred: experience with SAP Project Systems (PS).

• Preferred: knowledge of professional services or project-based business processes.
