Fully Licensed Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-based therapy for families, individuals, and groups dealing with eating disorders and related diagnoses in a virtual clinic (telehealth) environment.

• Apply family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID, and other proven therapies for patients of all ages experiencing eating disorders and their families.

• Maintain a caseload of 30-40 clients, with an expectation of 20-26 hours dedicated to direct care, while the remainder is allocated to administrative responsibilities.

• Engage in initial and ongoing training sessions.

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health issues.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, and family mentors, as well as external providers.

• Utilize between-session messaging to assist patients and communicate with the treatment team via Equip’s electronic medical record (EMR) following Equip’s guidelines and protocols.

• Actively participate in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and departmental gatherings.

• Keep licensure updated in the home state and obtain licensure in additional states as required by Equip (licensure expenses will be covered by Equip).

⛳️ Requirements

• An active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in New York.

• Capability to manage a caseload of patients across all age groups, with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds and cultures, and varying levels of acuity.

• Strong commitment to evidence-based care and treatment.

• Availability to provide care two evenings per week (up to 8 PM in the primary time zone of your patient caseload).

• Enthusiastic and a dedicated team player.

• Proficient in delivering care effectively and safely in a virtual environment.

• Deep passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment, along with a desire to enhance access to such treatments.
