This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Create and manage comprehensive full-stack solutions and APIs tailored for high-volume B2B commerce collaborations throughout the APAC region.
• Work in close partnership with product and engineering teams to adapt portal functionalities, ensuring they align seamlessly with local payment and distribution standards.
• Utilize LLMs and AI technologies to produce production-ready code that expedites the fulfillment of partner-specific needs.
• Design and sustain gRPC and RESTful microservices that support real-time travel inventory and fintech ancillary services.
• Operate independently to tackle intricate technical challenges while maintaining robust asynchronous communication with global stakeholders.
• Rapidly iterate on engineering enhancements that improve the scalability and performance of our B2B travel ecosystems.
• Significant experience with React and TypeScript, employed in creating highly localized and efficient web interfaces for complex e-commerce settings.
• Expertise in Scala and distributed systems, or a strong enthusiasm for applying functional programming within large-scale backend systems.
• A business-oriented mindset that emphasizes regional product-market alignment and the distinct user behaviors prevalent in APAC digital landscapes.
• Proficiency in AI-driven processes, including the application of LLMs in development and the integration of agentic AI systems to enhance partner support.
• Practical knowledge of GCP and cloud-native methodologies, particularly in addressing latency and data residency concerns associated with international collaborations.
• Exceptional technical adaptability and the confidence to navigate unfamiliar codebases to deliver impactful features within tight commercial timelines.
