Full Time Virtual Teacher, Chemistry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction in Chemistry for five or more hours daily on every scheduled teaching day.

• Develop an engaging and organized virtual classroom environment.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction, pinpoint learning gaps, and modify teaching approaches.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Maintain precise student records and keep students and their families updated.

• Foster relationships with students and families through proactive communication.

• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.

• Valid New Mexico state teaching license in Chemistry for grades 6-12.

• Experience in teaching in both virtual and/or in-person environments.

• Comfortable with the demands of a live online classroom setting.

• Capable of teaching live on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual teaching tools, and standard productivity software.

• Proficient in analyzing student performance data and using it to modify instruction.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and adept at managing a full student caseload remotely.

• Dedicated to professional development, maintaining certification, and keeping up-to-date with K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.

• Open to taking on evolving responsibilities in response to business needs.
