This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Design, implement, and enhance real-time streaming and media components utilizing WebRTC, Mediasoup, FFmpeg, RTMP, and HLS.
• Create and sustain the video processing pipeline, prioritizing quality, latency, and scalability.
• Work collaboratively with the team on full-stack application development with Node.js and Typescript to bolster the core media platform.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate issues related to media capture, encoding, transport, and playback across diverse platforms.
• Influence architectural decisions concerning streaming protocols, media servers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop reliable, tested, high-performance media code and facilitate continuous integration and deployment.
• Review code, promote best practices, and mentor colleagues to enhance the team’s technical culture.
• Keep abreast of emerging development trends within the video and streaming domains.
• Over 5 years of experience in the design, development, and optimization of real-time streaming media and digital video technology.
• Extensive knowledge of streaming protocols and technologies, including WebRTC, RTMP, HLS, FFmpeg, and codecs such as H.264.
• Demonstrated experience with media servers (e.g., Mediasoup) and browser media capture/playback technologies (e.g., WebGL, Video.js).
• Strong grasp of video quality metrics, low-latency streaming, and media pipeline architecture.
• Proficiency in Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript is essential for integrating media components into the complete application stack.
• Ability to thrive in Agile/Scrum teams and write unit/system tests.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/OCI) for deploying and scaling media services.
