This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive features across React frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and data layers.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to grasp user requirements and make informed technical choices.
• Take ownership of features from browser to database, encompassing frontend, backend, databases, and distributed systems.
• Create intuitive frontend experiences alongside dependable backend functionality.
• Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and technical leadership.
• Introduce and facilitate the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, including the effective integration of AI in software development.
• Identify opportunities for enhancement and consistently deliver within a continuous delivery framework.
• Champion testing, continuous integration, clean solutions, and the reduction of technical debt.
• Engage with customers to articulate feature rationale and address user pain points.
• Propel cross-boundary enhancements for the product and its users.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience for Staff, or 10+ years for Principal roles.
• Strong grasp of software design principles, patterns, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in one or more backend JVM languages, such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Experience with databases like Postgres.
• Preference for expertise in extensive frontend applications utilizing React or TypeScript.
• Capability to work across frontend and backend codebases and manage features end-to-end.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities with keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and competence in mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within a cross-functional team setting.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Must possess authorization to work in the country of residence.
