Full Stack Software Engineer, Python, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Python (Flask/FastAPI) to manage data from over 300,000 IoT devices.

• Create and implement REST APIs utilized by both internal tools and customer-facing applications.

• Enhance and build React/TypeScript frontend features — from converting designs into code to optimizing existing UI components.

• Write database queries to evaluate feature usage and troubleshoot production challenges.

• Develop monitoring and diagnostic tools for deployment that provide insights into system performance across various regions.

• Create tools that enhance transparency and facilitate access to the company's extensive datasets stored in diverse geographic locations and formats.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data is maintained in usable formats for frontend, middleware, diagnostics, and Deep Learning pipelines.

• Remotely troubleshoot customer issues across the entire stack and devise effective solutions.

• Work alongside the product team to enhance user experience — acting as a bridge between backend functionalities and user interface.

• Assist our customer success team in resolving client challenges.

• Assess incoming requests — evaluate the effort required in relation to the potential value offered.

• Increase test coverage for essential backend services and frontend user interactions.

• Refactor existing code to minimize complexity and ensure maintainability.

• Contribute to a team that delivers weekly releases to customers.

• Showcase your work to the company and share the features you have developed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software development experience.

• At least 3 years of practical experience with Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar) or other backend languages.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with React and TypeScript.

• Strong background in REST API design and development.

• Experience with data-intensive applications and/or microservices architecture.

• Proficient with relational databases (MySQL or equivalent).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical experience with unit and integration testing.

• Capacity to work independently and take full ownership of features from start to finish.

• Fluent in Polish with advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

• Willingness to adjust working hours to accommodate a global and time zone-diverse team (urgent tasks or meetings may arise outside of regular CEST working hours).

• Strong work ethic and dedication to completing assigned tasks and projects within set deadlines.
