Full Stack Software Engineer - Billing Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop the billing and metering platform for ClickHouse cloud - Craft and implement essential processes that are vital to maintaining operations.

• Create with intention. Establish a rationale for your decisions throughout the creative journey to enable both you and the team to effectively present our concepts and promote our solutions to various peers and stakeholders.

• Deliver secure, efficient, mature, and highly available frameworks and platforms that simplify infrastructure complexities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to outline business strategies, user requirements, and optimal solutions.

• Integrate with multiple systems including Billing, Metering, Logging, Monitoring, Support, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development, specifically in creating front-end systems hosted on the cloud.

• Practical development experience in leading and delivering large-scale technical projects in partnership with other seasoned engineers.

• Proficient in technologies such as Typescript, Serverless, EKS, SQS, Mongo, Node.JS (familiarity with multiple programming languages is preferred), and React.

• Knowledge of billing concepts, including credit card processing, usage-based billing, metering, CSP marketplaces (AWS, GCP, Azure), invoicing, sales tax, auditing, and record-keeping.

• Strong sense of ownership and experience in building and managing high-scale, distributed systems throughout the entire software lifecycle.

• Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offerings.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across engineering groups.

• A strong problem solver with robust production debugging capabilities.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and view yourself as a partner with the business, sharing the goal of advancing the organization.
