This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage resilient, scalable, and highly available platform products, which include both frontend widgets and backend services.
• Create technologies that enhance Netflix's global content creation and promotion.
• Construct and maintain event and communication platforms that integrate business workflows.
• Provide notifications and enable real-time collaboration among users, vendors, and partners.
• Design and implement full-stack platforms that incorporate GraphQL/RESTful APIs, embeddable UI components, and asynchronous backend systems.
• Drive cross-functional projects from vague objectives to launched and operational products.
• Oversee scope, trade-offs, dependencies, and delivery in collaboration with design, product, and engineering teams.
• Lead incident management and conduct post-incident evaluations.
• Enhance reliability, observability, and on-call procedures.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the development of technical communities.
• Identify challenges, formulate solutions, gather feedback, and deliver sustainable production results.
• Expertise in architecting and developing highly effective full-stack platforms.
• Familiarity with GraphQL/RESTful APIs, embeddable UI components, and resilient real-time asynchronous backend systems.
• Strong backend knowledge in designing microservices, data structures, and APIs.
• Proficient in Java, C#, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
• Adherence to rigorous object-oriented design principles.
• Practical experience in creating complex user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.
• Exposure to React and contemporary frontend architecture, including component design, state management, and performance enhancement.
• Strong UI/UX capabilities.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects alongside design, product, and engineering teams.
• Capacity to manage scope, trade-offs, dependencies, and delivery effectively.
• Ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts through writing, design documents, and reviews.
• Experience in leading incident management and conducting post-incident analyses.
• Background in enhancing reliability, observability, and on-call practices.
• Experience in designing messaging buses, asynchronous data processing, workflow orchestration, or related infrastructure platforms is advantageous.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with distributed systems concepts such as partitioning, idempotency, backpressure, and distributed tracing.
• Proficiency in utilizing AI for rapid prototyping and optimizing team workflows.
