This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software components utilizing object-oriented and component-based methodologies, focusing on reusability, test-driven development, and automation.
β’ Create new features and enhancements for current products, ranging from intermediate to highly complex in nature.
β’ Write, test, and deploy React front-end applications and Node.js/TypeScript back-end services, along with the serverless infrastructure that supports them.
β’ Collaborate with our Architects to convert business and customer requirements into comprehensive technical designs and component specifications.
β’ Deliver software with minimal defects; quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
β’ Estimate effort levels and assist in planning for new features and system modifications.
β’ Recognize technical risks early and collaborate with the team to formulate mitigation strategies.
β’ Maintain and enhance our CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, rapid, and reliable releases.
β’ Provide support and troubleshoot code operating on edge devices deployed in the field.
β’ Utilize monitoring, alerting, and dashboard tools to oversee system health and preemptively address issues before they escalate.
β’ Over 3 years of experience in front-end, back-end, or full-stack web development, with a solid foundation in Agile methodologies and QA practices.
β’ Strong practical experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
β’ Proficient in building user interfaces with React.
β’ Familiarity with Python, especially for data science or AI/ML projects, is advantageous.
β’ Experience with AWS serverless architectures (such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, SQS, Docker, etc.).
β’ Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation, preferably with AWS CodePipeline and CDK.
β’ Familiarity with CloudWatch (or similar tools) for monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding.
β’ Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases (Postgres or MySQL).
β’ Experience with event-driven, message-based integrations.
β’ Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across diverse hardware and software environments.
β’ Experience in profiling and optimizing applications for CPU and memory efficiency.
β’ Proven track record of writing maintainable, extensible, and future-proof code.
β’ Experience with end-to-end and user acceptance testing within an Agile framework.
β’ Familiarity with handling audio/media files and streams is a significant plus.
β’ Experience with code running on edge or field-deployed devices is beneficial.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills β capable of diving deep into technical details with colleagues and simplifying complex concepts for others.
