Full-Stack Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software components utilizing object-oriented and component-based methodologies, focusing on reusability, test-driven development, and automation.

• Create new features and enhancements for current products, ranging from intermediate to highly complex in nature.

• Write, test, and deploy React front-end applications and Node.js/TypeScript back-end services, along with the serverless infrastructure that supports them.

• Collaborate with our Architects to convert business and customer requirements into comprehensive technical designs and component specifications.

• Deliver software with minimal defects; quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.

• Estimate effort levels and assist in planning for new features and system modifications.

• Recognize technical risks early and collaborate with the team to formulate mitigation strategies.

• Maintain and enhance our CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, rapid, and reliable releases.

• Provide support and troubleshoot code operating on edge devices deployed in the field.

• Utilize monitoring, alerting, and dashboard tools to oversee system health and preemptively address issues before they escalate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in front-end, back-end, or full-stack web development, with a solid foundation in Agile methodologies and QA practices.

• Strong practical experience with TypeScript and Node.js.

• Proficient in building user interfaces with React.

• Familiarity with Python, especially for data science or AI/ML projects, is advantageous.

• Experience with AWS serverless architectures (such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, SQS, Docker, etc.).

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation, preferably with AWS CodePipeline and CDK.

• Familiarity with CloudWatch (or similar tools) for monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding.

• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases (Postgres or MySQL).

• Experience with event-driven, message-based integrations.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across diverse hardware and software environments.

• Experience in profiling and optimizing applications for CPU and memory efficiency.

• Proven track record of writing maintainable, extensible, and future-proof code.

• Experience with end-to-end and user acceptance testing within an Agile framework.

• Familiarity with handling audio/media files and streams is a significant plus.

• Experience with code running on edge or field-deployed devices is beneficial.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — capable of diving deep into technical details with colleagues and simplifying complex concepts for others.

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
