Full-Stack Engineer – React, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain robust frontend applications alongside scalable backend microservices.

• Develop resilient, high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs utilizing clean architecture and event-driven design patterns.

• Deploy, containerize, and oversee applications on AWS.

• Design and enhance relational and NoSQL database models to guarantee data integrity and high availability.

• Execute automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.

• Monitor production environments, resolve complex technical issues, and engage in incident response.

• Collaborate within a cross-functional international Agile/Scrum team.

• Take part in refining technical specifications, conducting code reviews, and participating in architectural discussions.

• Modernize core platforms and transition legacy architectures into a cloud-native, event-driven microservices ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience in building enterprise-grade full-stack web applications.

• Strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, and strict TypeScript.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Node.js (Express.js or NestJS) and microservices architecture.

• Solid experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, and IAM.

• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

• Proven experience with SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.

• Proficiency in automated testing tools like Jest, Vitest, or TestContainers.

• Professional fluency in both spoken and written English.
