Full Stack Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take complete ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, encompassing schema design, API implementation, React UI development, and deployment.

• Create and develop scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs, prioritizing clarity, performance, and developer usability.

• Architect and integrate services hosted on Azure, including Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure AI, and Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Incorporate AI functionalities into products by wrapping LLM APIs, constructing prompt pipelines, and embedding Azure OpenAI or Cognitive Services into features.

• Actively utilize AI tools throughout your daily tasks for generation, debugging, test coverage, and documentation, leveraging them as a force multiplier rather than a crutch.

• Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning alongside engineering teams and client stakeholders.

• Monitor, instrument, and enhance performance across the entire stack, addressing issues from slow queries to front-end bundle size.

• Help elevate the engineering standards by contributing to documentation, tooling, shared patterns, and mentoring junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of professional full-stack experience using Node.js and React (or Next.js).

• Proficient fluency in TypeScript, using it as your primary language.

• Direct experience with Microsoft Azure (Functions, App Service, Blob Storage, DevOps, or comparable services).

• Strong relational database expertise, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing (PostgreSQL preferred).

• Proven experience in designing clean REST or GraphQL APIs, with an understanding of when to utilize each.

• Active, demonstrated use of AI tools within your engineering practices, with the ability to discuss their tangible benefits.

• Familiarity with authentication patterns such as JWT, OAuth 2.0, and session management.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools).

• Exceptional asynchronous written communication skills in English, enabling you to articulate technical decisions clearly in Slack threads or documentation.
