This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Develop, sustain, and enhance backend services, APIs, and data models that support clinician workflows and reporting.
• Work closely with front-end engineers to integrate backend features into dashboards, reporting tools, and other clinical applications.
• Guarantee the reliability, scalability, and performance of data-driven systems.
• Engage in discussions regarding system architecture, conduct code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within backend services and pipelines.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to convert clinical requirements into technical solutions.
• Keep informed about contemporary software engineering practices in both frontend and backend development.
• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python, Node.js, or comparable backend technologies.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, and API design.
• Comfortable managing features from inception to completion: database design, backend logic, and API integrations.
• Proven track record in building production-grade, data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is advantageous.
• Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and documentation.
• Thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments with greenfield projects.
• Experience with B2B SaaS or internal tools is a plus.
• Background in healthcare or regulated environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
