This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Design and develop tools for AI agents: Create backend services and APIs that AI agents can utilize to retrieve data, initiate workflows, and engage with both internal and external systems.
• Integrate with current services and APIs: Link agent tooling to LanguageWire’s internal platform APIs, as well as third-party services and databases.
• Define schemas and contracts for tools: Create clear and well-documented tool interfaces (such as function schemas, OpenAPI specifications, and MCP server definitions) that LLMs and orchestration layers can dependably utilize.
• Develop agent-centric features and workflows: Implement comprehensive automated workflows where AI agents address specific business challenges across various departments, including operations, finance, sales, and project management.
• Take ownership of your services from start to finish: Manage everything from architecture and coding to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance (“You build it, you run it”).
• Contribute to backend services and data infrastructures: Enhance existing .NET microservices and databases to provide the functionalities required by AI tools.
• Establish and refine CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and frequent delivery.
• Utilize DevOps and Operational Excellence best practices to make certain that agent tools are observable, resilient, and secure.
• Share expertise with the team and assist in defining our approach to building AI-driven products.
• Strong backend development experience: Proficiency in C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API, and microservices.
• Solid experience with relational databases (MSSQL and/or PostgreSQL), including query design, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to design and construct REST APIs and integrate with third-party services and webhooks.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and message queues (e.g., Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ).
• Some exposure to frontend technologies (Vue.js and/or TypeScript) sufficient to contribute when necessary, though the primary focus is on backend development.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI), including invoking them, managing context, and processing responses.
• Familiarity with designing or utilizing function calling schemas to specify what an agent can invoke and how.
• Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or related agent-tool integration patterns, along with a willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of security and authentication measures for exposed tool APIs (OAuth 2.0, API keys, rate limiting, input validation).
• Observability mindset: focus on logging, tracing, and monitoring tool invocations and agent interactions.
• A product-oriented mindset: you are focused on addressing genuine business issues rather than merely completing tasks.
• Comfortable collaborating with domain experts (non-technical stakeholders) to identify automation opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English required.
• Agile, collaborative, and constructively opinionated.
• Hands-on DevOps experience: working with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (Azure preferred).
• Experience in designing agentic workflows: linking tool calls, managing state, and structuring multi-step automated processes.
• Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or similar).
• Experience with event-driven or workflow automation platforms (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, n8n, Temporal).
• Knowledge of prompt chaining patterns and structuring reliable, deterministic tool-calling behavior in LLM pipelines.
• Enjoy a flat hierarchy, with responsibilities and freedoms, direct feedback, and opportunities to advocate for your ideas.
• Access to internal development opportunities, continuous support from your People Partner, and an inclusive and enjoyable company culture.
• Work for an international company with over 300 employees, with offices located in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Stockholm, Varberg, London, Leuven, Lille, Paris, Munich, Hamburg, Sophia Antipolis, Atlanta, Finland, and Valencia.
• For this position, we offer a full-time FlexiWire@home option for remote work. You are always welcome in the office to collaborate and connect with your colleagues.
• We prioritize our people and organize various social events, from Friday Bars to Summer or Christmas parties. We believe in having fun!
• Enjoy an excellent location in stylish and modern offices in the city center, complete with a great rooftop terrace and a view of the Town Hall Square.
• Benefit from private health insurance.
• Experience working in an international setting with over 20 different nationalities.
• Enjoy a dog-friendly atmosphere.
• Access a large kitchen stocked with organic fruits, nuts, biscuits, and coffee.
• Utilize a social area and game room equipped with a foosball table, darts, and board games.
• Parking available for bikes and cars.
