Full Stack Developer, eCommerce – Magento

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Optimize the current Magento 2 installation.

• Provide both regular and emergency support for troubleshooting issues.

• Diagnose integration and performance challenges.

• Design user interfaces, themes, and templates while adhering to best practices and maintaining high coding standards.

• Anticipate performance needs and communicate remediation plans to the CTO/CIO.

• Develop new modules and functionalities for Magento.

• Manage and upgrade Magento extensions, conducting code reviews and scans.

• Establish DevOps pipelines and manage Release/Change management procedures.

• Create test scenarios, including unit and integration testing, and automate these processes.

• Collaborate with UI/UX and graphic designers to implement front-end modifications.

• Work with content writers to integrate new content.

• Implement additional components like Elastic Search, Varnish, Redis, CDN, RabbitMQ, etc.

• Manage SSL certificates, software accounts, keys, and related security measures.

• Rearchitect the environment, providing vertical and horizontal scaling to meet growing demands.

• Optimize batch jobs (Crons) or Consumers.

• Migrate databases and data as required.

• Develop integrations for files, images, and other data types.

• Manage and upgrade stack components, including Ubuntu, PHP, Percona, Nginx, Composer, Firewall, Redis, etc.

• Create plans for mobile experiences, mobile apps, or PWA front-end environments.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding IP, methods, processes, and data.

• Participate in conferences, webinars, and provide presentations while networking with startups.

• Install security patches and monitor web traffic to enhance brand security and reputation.

• Collaborate with stakeholders such as content developers, graphic and media designers, and management to ensure consistent brand messaging and optimal customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Magento 2 development and debugging.

• Strong background in high-performance technologies such as Nginx, Varnish, Redis, and ElasticSearch.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and AJAX for front-end development.

• In-depth knowledge of HTML5, LESS, and CSS.

• Understanding of contemporary UI/UX trends.

• Familiarity with React.js, Vue.js, and Node.js.

• Experience with AWS components, including VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, WAF, and Cloud Formation.

• Practical experience in Linux or Ubuntu server operations.

• Proficient in working with MySQL databases such as MariaDB and Percona.

• Basic understanding of networking and port management.

• Experience with Google Tag Manager, SEO, Google Analytics, PPC, Facebook Pixels, and A/B Testing.

• Strong attention to detail in design styles to enhance overall aesthetics.

• Solid PHP knowledge and familiarity with various frameworks.

• Ability to work effectively in a professional and collaborative team environment.
