Frontend Engineer – Music

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the Spotify Rights Center web application utilized by music labels, publishers, and other rights holders to manage the visibility of their content on Spotify.

• Work in close collaboration with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create intuitive and high-quality user experiences.

• Create intricate workflows that accommodate large datasets, territory-level permissions, and multi-step processes for rights and dispute management.

• Connect frontend systems with various backend services to ensure scalable and reliable data flows.

• Write efficient, accessible, and thoroughly tested frontend code employing contemporary development practices.

• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and refine APIs that meet product requirements.

• Engage in product discovery and ideation alongside engineers, researchers, and product specialists.

• Contribute to the enhancement of engineering practices and advocate for robust frontend architecture and quality standards.

• Foster a collaborative team culture that promotes learning, experimentation, and professional growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building modern web applications using TypeScript and React or a comparable framework.

• Proficient in managing complex application state and data flows.

• Experience in integrating frontend systems with APIs such as REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.

• Strong understanding of designing responsive interfaces that effectively handle loading states, pagination, streaming data, and graceful error management.

• A deep commitment to crafting intuitive and accessible user experiences.

• Experience in developing enterprise or B2B applications with intricate workflows, permissions, and substantial datasets.

• Ability to write high-quality code and validate it using modern testing methodologies including unit, integration, or end-to-end testing.

• Take initiative in managing solutions from requirements through to deployment and iterating based on user feedback.

• Enthusiastic about exploring new domains and problem spaces, collaborating with team members to address significant challenges.
