Frontend Engineer – Checkout & Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and develop outstanding frontend experiences that simplify the processes of purchasing and renewing insurance.

• Construct contemporary web applications utilizing React, Next.js, TypeScript, and other advanced frontend technologies.

• Design customer-facing checkout, payment, and policy renewal interfaces.

• Convert product and UX designs into refined, responsive user interfaces.

• Connect frontend applications with backend APIs, payment gateways, and policy management systems.

• Enhance application performance, responsiveness, and conversion rates across both desktop and mobile platforms.

• Develop and manage intricate transactional workflows, encompassing pricing, validation, payment, and confirmation processes.

• Contribute to the architecture of frontend systems, reusable component libraries, and best engineering practices.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, backend developers, and QA throughout the development process.

• Continuously advance code quality, performance, and user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.

• Demonstrated experience in building production-quality web applications.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Practical experience with React and modern frontend frameworks like Next.js.

• Comprehensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development.

• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Strong grasp of component-based architecture and scalable frontend design principles.

• Experience in enhancing frontend performance and troubleshooting production applications.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and contemporary software development methodologies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong communication skills and a proven track record of working within distributed engineering teams.
