Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance production frontend features utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Create intricate forms, configuration workflows, dashboards, and engaging application experiences.

• Convert product and UI/UX specifications into dependable production interfaces.

• Contribute to communal frontend components, libraries, tools, and engineering methodologies.

• Write unit and integration tests concurrently with feature development.

• Sustain and enhance existing test suites.

• Identify and rectify regressions, edge cases, and production challenges.

• Engage in peer code reviews.

• Integrate frontend applications with production REST APIs.

• Manage application state, validation, errors, loading states, and API responses.

• Oversee features from requirements gathering and technical design through to implementation, testing, deployment, and production verification.

• Utilize Git, pull-request workflows, automated linting, testing, build, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Employ GenAI-assisted development tools while ensuring code quality ownership.

• Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and designers in a distributed setting.

• Communicate implementation choices, obstacles, risks, and progress updates.

• Document technical decisions and implementation specifics when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional frontend software development experience.

• Substantial hands-on experience in creating production web applications with React and TypeScript.

• Proven experience in writing unit and integration tests as part of regular feature development.

• Experience in integrating frontend applications with REST APIs in a production environment.

• Experience contributing to large, shared production codebases.

• Proficient with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.

• Familiarity with GenAI-assisted coding tools as part of the software development lifecycle.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong comprehension of React hooks, component architecture, state management, and complex forms.

• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and modern web development principles.

• Experience with established frontend architecture and shared component libraries.

• Proficiency in automated linting, testing, build processes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to debug frontend application issues across UI, state, API, and application layers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of ownership and capability to work independently.

• Comfortable collaborating asynchronously with a distributed team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of receiving and providing constructive feedback during code reviews.

• Experience with monorepos, design systems, Node.js, Python, broader full-stack development, GenAI-powered products, or complex cloud portals is preferred but not mandatory.
