Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and sustain scalable and responsive web applications utilizing contemporary front-end technologies (primarily for desktop, with potential mobile enhancements in the future).

• Work collaboratively with product managers and UX/UI designers to grasp requirements, ensure technical feasibility, and convert them into viable, user-friendly solutions.

• Enhance and refine the company's front-end codebase by modernizing legacy code and applying best practices to guarantee optimal performance across various devices and browsers.

• Engage in code reviews to uphold best practices in front-end development.

• Detect and resolve front-end issues to maintain a seamless user experience.

• Develop reusable code and libraries for future applications, optimizing components for maximum speed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Demonstrated professional experience (3+ years) in front-end development, ideally within product-driven organizations and on complex projects alongside Product/UX/UI teams.

• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a focus on React.

• Understanding of RESTful APIs and collaboration with back-end development teams.

• Familiarity with authentication and authorization frameworks such as OAuth, JWT, or SAML.

• Proficient in testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress) for front-end applications.

• Experience with version control and project management tools, especially Git and GitHub.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, exhibiting strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Experience with modern asynchronous communication and documentation platforms (e.g., Slack, Notion).

• Willingness to travel as necessary to collaborate with the team.

• Proficient in English (Advanced level in Reading, Comprehension, and Writing).

• Fluent in Portuguese.
