Frontend Developer – Magento

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• As a Frontend Developer (Magento), you will be responsible for ensuring the evolution, stability, and maintainability of the presentation layer of e-commerce platforms by developing modern, responsive, and high-performance interfaces that directly impact user experience and business continuity.

• Develop and maintain web interfaces for Magento platforms, ensuring reusable, scalable components that align with project requirements.

• Implement new frontend functionalities, ensuring a consistent, accessible, and responsive user experience.

• Participate in the development of themes, components, and customizations within the Magento ecosystem.

• Execute evolutionary and corrective maintenance on the frontend layer, addressing incidents, functional adjustments, and continuous improvements.

• Fix bugs and optimize existing components to enhance performance, usability, and the end user's experience.

• Collaborate with backend developers, QA, functional analysts, and other team members to implement comprehensive solutions.

• Manage and version changes using Git, adhering to best practices in integration and version control.

• Consume APIs and services to integrate dynamic functionalities within the user interface.

• Apply best practices in frontend development, including clean code, component reuse, technical documentation, and maintainability.

• Participate in testing and validation of developments to ensure functional deliveries ready for deployment.

• Support knowledge transfer processes to internal teams, promoting operational continuity and technical adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science, or related fields.

• We value certifications or courses in frontend development, JavaScript, Magento, web development, or technologies associated with the e-commerce ecosystem.

• Over 2 years of experience in Frontend development.

• Previous experience in e-commerce projects.

• Proven experience in developing modern web applications.

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).

• Experience with Magento, especially in frontend development and customization.

• Experience in developing responsive interfaces compatible with multiple browsers.

• Experience consuming REST APIs for integration with backend services.

• Solid knowledge of version control with Git.

• Experience in evolutionary and corrective maintenance of web applications.

• Knowledge of best practices in frontend development, including clean code, performance optimization, and technical documentation.

• Experience in e-commerce projects.
