Frontend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Create features, write code, conduct code reviews, and address challenges for internal projects.

• Collaborate within a development team that takes ownership of and fosters continuous enhancement of its business domain utilizing agile methodologies.

• Develop efficient, testable, and reusable user interface components.

• Tackle intricate performance issues and architectural obstacles.

• Diagnose application and code-related problems.

• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, and suggest new ones as necessary.

• Utilize client-side storage solutions effectively.

• Maintain and refactor application features, including legacy code, to boost performance.

• Analyze UX/UI projects and application specifications.

• Assist in tracking requests, issues, work progress, and other modifications.

• Thoughtfully employ AI tools to aid in development, testing, and documentation.

• Modify responsibilities over time to align with business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar software development position.

• Experience with Vue is mandatory; familiarity with other SPA frameworks/libraries is beneficial but not a substitute.

• In-depth knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

• Strong understanding of semantic HTML5 and modern CSS3, including Flexbox and Grid.

• Practical experience with Vite or comparable build tools such as Webpack.

• Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.

• Experience in resolving cross-browser and cross-device compatibility challenges.

• Experience in utilizing REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Comfortable with AI-assisted development tools, such as AI coding assistants and MCP integrations.

• Nice to have: experience with real-time communication handling, such as WebSockets or Server-Sent Events.

• Nice to have: experience with iframe interactions and cross-origin communication, like postMessage.

• Nice to have: basic understanding of Docker.

• Nice to have: basic familiarity with the Unix shell.

• Nice to have: basic knowledge of SEO best practices.

• Nice to have: basic understanding of SQL.

• Nice to have: ability to read and comprehend PHP code.
