Freelance Writer – Afrikaans

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Develop a high-quality short story of around 6,000 words to aid in the testing and enhancement of Machine Translation technology.

• Present a concise plot outline for approval prior to commencing the writing process.

• Finalize the story within the designated timeframe.

• Make necessary revisions based on provided feedback.

• Write within a specified genre according to your chosen preference: Kids, Thriller/Mystery, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Self-help, Romance, or Memoir/Biography.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of South Africa.

• Native-level proficiency in Afrikaans.

• Exceptional writing skills in Afrikaans, including grammar and spelling.

• Proficient in English, as all communication and guidelines will be in English.

• A degree in Literature or Creative Writing, and/or demonstrated experience in writing or content creation.

• Strong preference for individuals with published works and/or high-quality writing samples in relevant genres.
