Freelance Weather & Meteorology Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in assessing AI-generated weather forecasts and event analyses.

• Engage in a project aimed at evaluating AI-generated insights on weather and climate.

• Anticipated project commitment of around 15 hours per week.

• The project is expected to commence in early July.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in meteorology, atmospheric science, climate science, or environmental science.

• Capability to validate weather events (such as storms, heatwaves, cold snaps, and precipitation patterns) against historical data.

• Knowledge of US city-level weather metrics, including temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, pressure, and cloud cover.

• Insight into how weather events influence downstream systems like energy demand, agriculture, and transportation.

• Excellent analytical and written communication skills in English.
