Freelance UI Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality, production-ready user interfaces for both customer and merchant-facing products.

• Convert UX wireframes and research findings into polished and accessible interfaces.

• Contribute to and enhance a scalable design system utilized by multiple product teams.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Brand teams to maintain visual consistency.

• Design user-friendly financial workflows, including checkout, onboarding, and account management.

• Assist in experimentation and A/B testing by providing clean, measurable design outputs.

• Ensure that accessibility and usability standards are integrated into every product release.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in UI or Product Design roles within digital product environments.

• Background in FinTech, BNPL, payments, or high-transaction consumer products is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to design at scale across multiple product teams.

• Proficient in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping.

• Strong grasp of design systems, scalable UI architecture, and interaction patterns.

• Excellent skills in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.

• Experience in designing responsive and mobile-first interfaces.

• Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).

• Capable of working asynchronously across different time zones.

• Effective communicator who can clearly convey design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating closely with engineering for seamless handoff and implementation.
