Freelance Senior Wind Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Conduct technical due diligence for wind projects across Benelux, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

• Execute technical evaluations of key wind turbine components.

• Assess contracts, including TSAs, O&M agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, and grid connection contracts.

• Analyze land leases and building permits.

• Evaluate environmental impact assessments.

• Review long-term energy yield forecasts.

• Produce technical due diligence reports in line with planning, budget, and internal quality standards.

• Collaborate with project lenders, sponsors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Technical Due Diligence services, including contract assessments, yield evaluations, and site visits within the wind energy sector.

• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

• Experience collaborating with renewable energy developers and/or financiers.

• Skilled in creating bankable reports, punch lists, and site visit documentation.

• Possession of necessary training certifications for site inspections (GWO working at heights).

• Strong practical and organizational abilities.
