Freelance Senior .NET Developer / Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Create and implement backend services utilizing C# and modern .NET technologies.

• Participate in the technical design process and architectural choices.

• Develop integrations with REST APIs, third-party systems, messaging services, and file-based interfaces.

• Maintain code quality through rigorous code reviews and adherence to engineering best practices.

• Guide developers and facilitate technical discussions.

• Work with SQL, relational databases, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker environments.

• Design secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions.

• Collaborate with product management, compliance, QA, and other engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of practical experience with C# and .NET technologies.

• Proven backend development expertise.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.

• Strong background in SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with Docker and CI/CD methodologies.

• Knowledge of secure and reliable software development practices.

• Previous experience in a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead, or related role.

• Capacity to take technical leadership and mentor other developers.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Background in payments, banking, fintech, or financial services is preferred.

• Experience in a regulated or compliance-focused environment.

• Familiarity with ISO 20022 and SEPA standards.

• Understanding of clearing, settlement, or payment processing mechanisms.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
