Freelance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee various client projects across different industries and time zones, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets.

• Establish project scope, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with clients.

• Guide the discovery phases to comprehend client business requirements prior to development.

• Decompose intricate requirements into manageable engineering iterations.

• Maintain thorough project documentation, including backlogs and roadmaps.

• Conduct Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and reviews.

• Provide clients with consistent updates regarding project status, risks, and decisions.

• Assess and price new projects, draft project proposals, and assist in presales activities.

• Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and QA to ensure that features align with client expectations and user needs.

• Track project health utilizing KPIs and proactively identify risks.

• Test completed features against agreed-upon requirements prior to delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of project management experience within a digital agency environment.

• Practical experience with the presales process, including writing proposals, project scoping, and conducting discovery workshops.

• Strong grasp of digital product development and a product management mindset.

• Experience with backlog management, crafting user stories, and navigating an Agile delivery framework.

• Comfort in challenging client requirements and advocating for solutions that address the actual business issues.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

• Experience in Web3/DeFi, fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Notion, Linear, or similar platforms.

• Ability to work across US and European time zones.

• Fluent in English at C1 level or above, with excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for client interactions.

• Experience collaborating with distributed international teams across various countries and time zones.

• Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery in an agency context.

• Proficient in client relationship management and expectation setting.

• Skilled in discovery, scoping, and proposal writing.

• Competent in backlog management, user stories, and Agile ceremonies.

• Strong product thinking and requirements validation capabilities.

• Effective budget and timeline management skills.

• Clear communication with both technical teams and non-technical clients.

• Ability to work effectively across cultures and with international teams.
