Freelance Phlebotomist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct blood tests that have been requested and schedule home visits, operating independently with support available via phone and mobile app.

• Seek guidance and assistance from more senior or experienced colleagues or the Ally Health Clinical team for issues beyond your area of responsibility, knowledge, or expertise.

• Ensure that blood samples collected from home visits are delivered to the hub promptly for courier pick-up.

• Record the blood tests performed in the patient’s medical records.

• Report to the Ally Health Clinical team and request advice on specific identified risks, such as unsafe environmental conditions.

• Perform duties in line with company protocols and guidelines.

• Comply with company policies and procedures consistently.

• Be proficient in using a digital mobile tool to manage job assignments and document patient notes.

• Foster and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

• Uphold the confidentiality and privacy of patients and caregivers at all times.

• Stay informed about health, welfare, and safety issues affecting colleagues, patients, relatives, and yourself, and report incidents or near-misses to the Clinical Operations Manager.

• Attend relevant meetings as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with all required training and engage in development and appraisal activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.

• Enhanced DBS Disclosure of convictions.

• Personal professional indemnity insurance (proof required).

• Two referees, with at least one from recent employment.

• A full driving license and access to your own vehicle.

• Fluent in English (mandatory).
