Freelance Phlebotomist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct blood tests requested and scheduled for domiciliary visits, functioning independently with support available via phone and mobile app.

• Seek guidance and assistance from a senior or more experienced colleague/Ally Health Clinical team for issues beyond your area of responsibility, expertise, or skills.

• Ensure that domiciliary blood samples are either mailed or delivered to the hub promptly for courier pick-up.

• Accurately record blood tests performed in the patient's medical records.

• Report to the Ally Health Clinical team and request advice regarding specific identified risks, such as unsafe environmental conditions.

• Perform your duties in line with company protocols and guidelines.

• Comply with company policies and procedures consistently.

• Be proficient in using a digital mobile tool to manage job assignments and document patient notes.

• Take appropriate measures to foster and uphold a safe and healthy working environment.

• Maintain patient and carer confidentiality and privacy at all times.

• Stay continuously aware of health, welfare, and safety concerns affecting colleagues, patients, relatives, and yourself, and report incidents or near-misses to the Clinical Operations Manager.

• Serve as a key member of the phlebotomy team.

• Participate in relevant meetings as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.

• Enhanced DBS Disclosure of convictions.

• Personal professional indemnity insurance (evidence required).

• Two referees, with at least one from your most recent employment.

• Full driving license and access to a personal vehicle.

• Fluent in English (required).
