Freelance IT Product Manager – LIMS, Clinical Diagnostics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of the IT product 'eLIMS-Clinical Diagnostic Europe', from defining strategy and roadmap to ensuring delivery, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.

• Establish and uphold the product vision, objectives, and value proposition.

• Convert business strategies into a detailed product roadmap.

• Guarantee alignment with enterprise architecture, security protocols, and compliance standards.

• Own and track product success metrics (value, adoption, satisfaction, cost).

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the product.

• Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements and user feedback.

• Facilitate collaboration among business, IT, and external partners for decision-making.

• Manage and maintain the product backlog effectively.

• Ensure that requirements are clear, testable, and comprehensible to delivery teams.

• Collaborate closely with delivery teams (whether internal or external) to plan and execute increments.

• Confirm that delivered solutions align with business expectations and meet quality standards.

• Oversee the product throughout its full lifecycle (from ideation to delivery to operation to retirement).

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or in a similar role within an IT setting.

• Strong grasp of software and IT product lifecycles.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Business, IT, Vendors).

• Familiarity with agile and/or hybrid delivery frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe.

• Experience in the TIC (Testing Inspection Certification) sector and/or Healthcare is an advantage.

• Background in LIMS development is beneficial.

• Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, applications, integrations, and data flows.

• Proficiency with ITSM and delivery tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps).

• Knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in enterprise IT.

• Capability to prioritize tasks based on value, risk, and effort.

• Data-driven approach to decision-making.

• Experience in translating business needs into actionable requirements.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.

• Demonstrated structured, proactive, and results-oriented work style.

• Comfortable navigating through complex organizational structures.
