Freelance Game LQA Tester, English to Simplified Chinese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Identify, isolate, document, and resolve any localization or linguistic issues, ensuring fixes are verified through the use of testing tools or databases.

• Follow and complete test cases and checklists to conduct targeted testing while executing necessary testing processes and procedures.

• Compose bug descriptions that adhere to company standards and client specifications.

• Leverage knowledge of user preferences within the target market to inform and enhance the client’s product.

• Actively seek out gaps in test coverage.

• Collaborate with partner teams during the product testing phase.

• Provide constructive feedback regarding gameplay, enjoyment, and game balance, drawing from an understanding of the target market.

• Complete any other tasks that are considered appropriate for the position.

⛳️ Requirements

• A regular gamer with a strong passion for the video game industry.

• Native proficiency in Simplified Chinese (the testing language), with exceptional spelling and grammar skills.

• Proficient in both English and Simplified Chinese, as instructions, testing documentation, and team communications will be conducted in English.

• Experience in Gaming Localization Quality Assurance (LQA).

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is required; a degree in computer science, game design, or a related field is a significant advantage.

• Strong attention to detail, a "can-do" attitude, and an excellent work ethic.

• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

• Basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

• Familiarity with digital technologies, including mobile devices, tablets, and browser tools.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• A driven, positive attitude with the ability to excel and deliver results in a fast-paced, innovative, and creative setting.
