This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Collaborate on localization initiatives for a variety of gaming titles

• Ensure an optimal gaming experience for JAPANESE players

• Translate content from SIMPLIFIED CHINESE into JAPANESE

• Engage with projects ranging from indie games to AAA titles

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in JAPANESE

• Strong proficiency in ENGLISH and SIMPLIFIED CHINESE

• A genuine passion for gaming and knowledge of gaming terminology

• At least 2 years of experience in gaming localization (SIMPLIFIED CHINESE>JAPANESE)

• Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy genres

• Proficient in CAT tools, preferably memoQ

• Detail-oriented with strong skills in grammar, spelling, and terminology

• Capable of meeting deadlines and thriving in a fast-paced, creative setting

• Must fulfill ONE of the following criteria: A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with substantial translation training); or 2+ years of translation experience along with a college degree; or 5+ years of translation experience (no degree required); or possess a translation certification from a recognized government body
