Freelance Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create brand identities for both rebranding projects and new initiatives, encompassing visual identity and guidelines.

• Develop paid advertising creatives and social media graphics across various brands and formats.

• Design campaign artwork from the initial brief to the final output.

• Generate trade marketing materials, including point of sale displays, shelf talkers, sell sheets, and retailer assets.

• Craft reports, presentations, and pitch decks.

• Adhere to brand guidelines to ensure consistency throughout all touchpoints.

• Manage time effectively and meet deadlines across multiple brands at once.

• Take over projects mid-way, quickly grasp brand nuances, and handle briefs and scopes of different sizes and outputs.

• Engage in projects as new briefs emerge.

• Collaborate with a lead Brand Hacker and the broader team of Brand Hackers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Figma, and InDesign is essential.

• A strong interest or proven experience in Premiere Pro and After Effects is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with print production processes, including bleed, cutter guides, safe zones, and color profiles (CMYK vs RGB).

• A keen eye for typography, including kerning, tracking, leading, and type pairing.

• Fluency in Canva for rapid asset creation.

• A portfolio that ideally showcases experience in FMCG, F&B, and challenger brand sectors.

• A solid understanding of fundamental design principles: hierarchy, balance, contrast, and white space.

• The humility to accept feedback coupled with the confidence to assert when justified.

• A portfolio link or a selection of work samples is mandatory; applications lacking a portfolio will not be considered.
