Freelance Associate Creative Director – Art

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain robust relationships with clients; advocate for creative directions and convert business requirements into actionable objectives.

• Manage shifting budgets and tight deadlines while ensuring teams remain focused and productive.

• Oversee the evolution from abstract ideas to finalized products across various high-priority projects.

• Guide clients and collaborate with the agency to produce social strategies, campaigns, and content.

• Supervise the daily activities of creative personnel, assign tasks, provide constructive criticism, and nurture growth and creative courage.

• Drive intricate idea generation and ensure that art direction and copy align with agency standards and client objectives.

• Offer proactive creative solutions and motivate others.

• Mentor and manage junior team members.

• Spot opportunities that merge emerging AI technologies with traditional storytelling methods.

• Utilize AI to enhance workflows, expedite ideation, broaden creative horizons, and produce campaign briefs and presentations.

• Act as the team’s AI expert, educate staff on new capabilities, and lead ethical AI implementation in creative processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in a creative leadership position within an agency or an internal brand team.

• Demonstrated success in producing groundbreaking social media content.

• Knowledge of authentic native content on social media platforms, including short-form videos, motion graphics, and trending audio.

• Excellent communication abilities and a commitment to treating colleagues and clients with empathy and respect.

• Capability to oversee both visual and narrative elements of large-scale campaigns.

• Experience developing creative strategies based on market data and client KPIs.

• Versatile creative skills, encompassing both art direction and copywriting.

• Experience in production and post-production environments.

• Willingness to engage directly and lead by example, with experience guiding teams and spearheading creative projects.
