This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Examine extensive and intricate datasets to extract insights related to credit performance, fraud patterns, and portfolio risk.
• Assist in the development and oversight of fraud detection models, rules, thresholds, and segmentation strategies.
• Create and present fraud and risk reporting (KPIs/KRIs) in accordance with BSA/AML and enterprise risk standards.
• Establish and uphold data governance and validation processes.
• Convert complex data into actionable insights that are ready for executive presentation.
• Collaborate with teams in Fraud Operations, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Technology.
• Analyze fraud alert and case lifecycle data to pinpoint process inefficiencies, quality concerns, and opportunities for automation or control improvements.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Up to 2+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in data analysis within financial services, fraud risk management, payments, or related fields.
• Capability to manage large volumes of data and extract actionable insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with robust business acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex insights to diverse audiences.
• Experience in the consumer credit sector is an advantage.
• Strongly preferred experience in fraud analytics, fraud reporting, payments data, or financial crime data.
• Basic understanding of fraud typologies (e.g., account takeover, first-party fraud, transaction fraud) and their manifestation in data.
• Preferred experience working with fraud KPIs/KRIs, operational metrics, and reporting environments driven by regulatory or audit requirements.
• Familiarity with fraud detection systems, alert/case management tools, or transaction monitoring platforms is advantageous.
