Fraud Countermeasure Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducting thorough investigations and analyses of suspected fraud cases impacting Veriff’s clientele.

• Overseeing, examining, and validating the outcomes of fraud strategies to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

• Creating innovative countermeasures and strategies to combat emerging fraud trends while reducing false positives and negatives.

• Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to communicate findings, recommend enhancements, and ensure product readiness.

• Assessing risk scenarios, pinpointing system vulnerabilities, and proposing corrective measures to avert fraud.

• Collaborating across departments to refine fraud detection processes and improve the overall quality of our fraud solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in fraud investigation, risk analysis, or AML/KYC/compliance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to recognize patterns and trends in extensive datasets.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies (SQL, Tableau or Looker).

• A solid understanding of risk assessment, with the ability to anticipate potential fraud scenarios and suggest effective solutions.

• Experience in creating and implementing fraud detection strategies and countermeasures.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work efficiently with cross-functional teams.

• Capacity to think critically, identify system vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective actions.

• Attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of fraud methodologies and emerging trends.

• Experience in assessing risk scenarios and providing data-driven recommendations.

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of curiosity and autonomy, capable of adapting to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to stay informed about the latest fraud detection technologies and techniques.
