Fractional Director of Product Strategy – Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the guardian of our product vision, converting strategy into actionable plans.

• Ensure that each feature enhances a unified, distinct, and engaging member experience.

• Collaborate closely with our founders, advisory board, UX/UI designers, engineers, AI experts, and subject matter specialists.

• Drive product strategy and advance the long-term vision for the product.

• Transform strategy into product roadmaps, epics, user stories, and development plans.

• Lead product discovery initiatives, customer research, and journey mapping activities.

• Steer the UX/UI direction to deliver an exceptional consumer-grade experience.

• Oversee the complete member experience throughout onboarding, AI coaching, scoring, education, engagement, and retention.

• Collaborate with engineering, design, AI, clinical, marketing, and leadership teams.

• Advocate for a scalable design system and outstanding product quality.

• Regularly validate assumptions through customer feedback and analytics.

• Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, digital health, wearables, and human performance.

• Comfortable discussing customer psychology, UX, AI, engineering trade-offs, and business strategy.

• A systems thinker who excels in uncertain environments and enjoys bringing clarity.

• Someone who believes that every feature must serve a purpose and every interaction should foster trust.

• Experience with consumer mobile applications.

• Background in digital health, wellness, or human performance.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled products.

• Knowledge of wearables and connected devices.

• Experience with subscription platforms.

• Exposure to behavior-change or coaching products.

• Experience in startup or early-stage companies.

• Industry-related certifications are a plus.
