Fractional Cyber Security Analyst – Advisor Network

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Advisors are assigned to project-based engagements when their expertise aligns with client needs.

• Joining the network does not ensure placement; it offers access to opportunities as they become available.

• Collaborate with Hedge Fund and Family Office clients to deliver expert guidance.

• Oversee the firm's vulnerability management program and perform annual cybersecurity assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Sciences, or a related discipline, with a strong academic record.

• One or more of the following certifications: CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GNFA, GREM, or other pertinent SANS certifications.

• A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst within a hedge fund or family office.

• Practical experience with one or more of the following technology vendors and products: Splunk Cloud, Rapid7 Nexpose Vulnerability Scanner, Sophos Antivirus, Varonis DatAlert, ForeScout CounterACT, or similar.

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft’s enterprise technology ecosystem, including Azure, Active Directory, SQL, Office365, and the Windows server and desktop operating systems.

• Extensive knowledge of security event management, network security monitoring, investigating common attack types, network packet analysis, log collection and analysis, and reviewing security events.

• Proven experience in implementing and/or enforcing security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, Cobit, and ISO.

• Exceptional writing and presentation skills are essential for communicating findings and recommendations, along with the ability to explain security-related concepts to a diverse audience of technical and non-technical staff.
