Fractional Chief Medical Officer – CMO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative physician for Ladder Health, fostering trusted relationships with health systems, children's hospitals, physician leaders, payers, and strategic partners.

• Collaborate closely with the CEO to enhance enterprise partnerships, engaging in strategic discussions where physician-to-physician credibility propels commercial conversations and decision-making.

• Establish and lead Ladder Health's Clinical Advisory Board, converting clinical evidence into persuasive narratives that enhance enterprise partnerships, payer discussions, publications, and commercialization efforts.

• Create regional networks of physician champions by identifying respected pediatricians, developmental pediatricians, neonatologists, family physicians, and health system leaders who can advocate for Ladder Health and drive local market growth through peer engagement.

• Assist in defining the clinical strategy, quality metrics, utilization measures, and outcomes data essential for supporting value-based care, alternative payment models, and future reimbursement innovations.


⛳️ Requirements

• MD with a valid, unrestricted medical license.

• Board certification in Pediatrics.

• Experience in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics is highly regarded but not mandatory.

• Around 10+ years of advanced clinical and leadership experience in health systems, academic medicine, pediatric innovation, digital health, healthcare transformation, or population health.

• Proven success in building trusted relationships with physician executives, health systems, children's hospitals, academic medical centers, or strategic healthcare organizations.

• Background in supporting healthcare commercialization, enterprise partnerships, innovation, or business development.

• Knowledge of value-based care, digital health, implementation science, clinical research, or healthcare transformation.

• Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, research collaborations, conference presentations, or participation in national professional organizations.

• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, venture-backed setting while contributing to the development of new pediatric care models.
