This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of budget versus actuals analysis for designated business functions, providing detailed variance commentary that encourages action.
• Collaborate with department leaders on workforce planning, vendor expenditures, and return on investment for initiatives.
• Construct and sustain operating models, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly closing procedures, including accrual analysis, forecast adjustments, and reporting for the board and leadership.
• Create financial models and dashboards that offer leaders real-time insights into their operations.
• Proactively identify and highlight financial risks and opportunities, not merely in response to inquiries.
• Utilize AI tools and workflows to enhance the efficiency and quality of financial analysis.
• Support business leaders in making pivotal decisions regarding the direction of their organizations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting.
• Exceptional financial modeling capabilities - you develop models that others can effectively utilize.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with the business: translating data into stories, constructively challenging, and influencing decisions.
• Experience in variance analysis, budget oversight, and closing processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment without extensive procedural guidelines.
• AI-savvy mindset - you actively integrate AI into financial workflows and contemplate its application in analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Preferred: Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS or fintech firm, or with a major accounting firm.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Rillet, Ramp, or Abacum (or similar modern finance tools).
• Preferred: Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Sigma.
• Preferred: Experience with SQL.
