This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Operational Partnership: Serve as the primary finance collaborator for department leaders and business partners across the organization, providing financial insights to enhance cost efficiency and manage their expenditure.
• Process Evolution: Act as a catalyst for the development and enhancement of our FP&A capabilities. Identify and implement solutions to automate repetitive reporting tasks, advancing us toward a more immediate 'Continuous Accounting' framework.
• The Backbone: Oversee, manage, and administer our internal financial reporting, modeling, and forecasting tools that form the foundation for our financial insights and reporting.
• The Blueprint: Assist in facilitating the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts, ensuring that departmental expenditures align with our long-term strategic objectives.
• Financial Intelligence: Analyze our data, assessing critical financial performance indicators (such as customer profitability, CAC, LTV, retention, etc.). Translate and communicate essential insights from large datasets into narratives that convey the story behind the figures.
• Strategic Modeling: Develop intricate, dynamic financial models to assess new market entries, product launches, and capital allocation strategies.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in FP&A, Investment Banking, or Strategic Finance. Experience in Ecommerce or SaaS is a significant advantage.
• Technical Prowess: Possess strong modeling abilities and experience with FP&A platforms (such as Adaptive, Anaplan), BI tools (like Tableau, Looker), and ERP systems (including Netsuite, Sage Intacct).
• The Builder Mindset: You thrive without needing a manual to begin. Enjoy constructing models from the ground up and transforming disorganized data into structured formats. We operate swiftly and iterate to enhance over time.
• Communication Skills: Capable of explaining the 'why' behind budget variances and their implications on our financial outlook, while also identifying operational gaps in processes, policies, and procedures within and beyond finance.
• Systems Architect: Demonstrated experience in owning and managing financial forecasting software (e.g., Adaptive, Vena, Mosaic, or Jirav). You are not just a user; you are the lead architect responsible for ensuring data integrity, creating new modules, and evolving our financial models to scale with the business.
• High Velocity: You excel in a fast-paced 'high tech' environment where priorities can change, and you possess the discipline to juggle multiple projects without losing focus.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
