This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the 0→1 phase: establish the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Employer vertical, guiding it from initial customer interactions to the launch of the first products and achieving early revenue.
• Serve as the vital link among Turquoise's employer subject-matter experts, converting extensive employer and broker knowledge into a tangible product plan—backed by dedicated solutions engineering and adaptable engineering resources.
• Formulate and advocate for your perspective on employer ecosystem dynamics—covering plan design, self-insurance, incentives, steerage, care navigation, and direct contracting—and utilize it for effective prioritization decisions.
• Proactively advance early-stage concepts through iteration, execution, and refinement, validating them with real employer and broker customers while making decisions that propel the vertical forward amidst uncertainty.
• Transform Turquoise's pricing and contract data assets into solutions that address specific employer and broker challenges.
• Ensure seamless collaboration across various disciplines within Turquoise—Engineering, Design, GTM, and Solutions—as well as with key external stakeholders like benefits leaders, brokers, consultants, and TPAs.
• Act as the voice of the customer: establish direct connections with employer benefits teams and their advisors, bringing their insights back into the product roadmap.
• Continuously enhance your industry and subject matter expertise, keeping abreast of market trends and regulatory changes (e.g., CAA transparency and fiduciary obligations) so that Turquoise can effectively navigate the employer landscape.
• Over 7 years of product management experience, demonstrating a history of managing products from inception to completion.
• More than 5 years of experience in developing for the direct-to-employer and/or broker market—possessing an insider's understanding of the ecosystem.
• A comprehensive grasp of employer ecosystem dynamics, incentives, and subtleties—including plan design, self-insurance, steerage, brokers/consultants, and TPAs.
• Proven capability to deliver high-complexity, 0→1 solutions in a dynamic startup environment with swiftly shifting priorities.
• Recognized subject-matter credibility, enabling you to act as the connecting force for other employer SMEs.
• A solid track record of growth and expanded responsibilities—focusing on impact and longevity, rather than mere tenure.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, demonstrating resourcefulness with flexible engineering support and adapting in response to internal and market feedback.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/knowledge. We welcome strong candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds.
