This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), clinical protocols, and workflows for managing medications.
• Prescribe medications that align with identity-affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments.
• Ensure timely and HIPAA-compliant documentation within the Avon EMR system.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to enhance protocols and the overall care model.
• Educate clients about the science, safety, and experiences related to mental health care.
• Provide affirming, trauma-informed care while establishing therapeutic rapport.
• Combine medication management with individual therapy and evidence-based trauma treatments.
• Report directly to the Clinical Director and Medical Director.
• Continuously refine and enhance the medication management model based on client interactions.
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with active DEA registration and full practice authority in Maryland.
• Demonstrated experience and a strong passion for working with LGBTQIA+ clients.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in prescribing and adjusting medications for various clinical indications, client demographics, and acuity levels.
• Cultural competence in delivering affirming, identity-centered care.
• Comfortable operating in a fully remote telehealth environment.
• Proficient in clinical assessment and maintaining timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Experienced in developing psychiatric SOPs from the ground up.
• Experience serving clients at the intersections of the LGBTQIA+ community, including BIPOC and neurodivergent clients.
• Understanding of how medications and psychotherapy interact.
• Familiarity with outcomes-based, measurement-informed care.
• Dual license in MD and VA is highly preferred.
• Fully remote work environment.
• Part-time schedule with an expectation of 20 hours per week.
