Founding Partner – Trusts & Estates

📋 Description

• Oversee T&E matters from start to finish, including planning consultations, document reviews, signings, and funding for both flat-fee and custom engagements.

• Collaborate with the founding team to design the intake-to-first-draft system, transforming your legal judgment into effective workflows, drafting pipelines, and review protocols.

• Establish the standard of care, determining what is reviewed, by whom, at what level of depth, and how quality is assessed on a matter-by-matter basis in an AI-driven practice.

• Develop the productized offering, encompassing scope, pricing, package boundaries, and the client journey from the initial call to funded trust.

• Recruit and mentor the initial associates and partners who will follow your lead, fostering the culture they will inherit.

• Assume professional responsibility, including supervision, conflict management, and the ethical framework of a firm where attorneys lead the work and technology supports it.

⛳️ Requirements

• A senior T&E attorney with approximately ten or more years of advanced planning experience. Must be licensed and in good standing in California or New York; other jurisdictions may be considered for the right candidate.

• You have either established or seriously considered starting your own practice and understand the actual demands of running a legal business.

• Exceptional in your work and unwaveringly focused on enhancing the client experience.

• Inspired by the prospect of designing AI-enabled legal services rather than merely responding to them.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity: launching, refining, and attaching your name to innovative solutions.

• Motivated to serve the middle market, providing genuine counsel to households at accessible prices.

• Preferred qualifications include multi-state or high-volume practice experience, familiarity with legal technology or AI tools, and existing referral relationships with financial advisors or CPAs.
