This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with the concept architect to transform advanced system concepts into technical specifications, service maps, data models, APIs, schemas, tests, and deployment strategies.
• Convert verbal and written design instructions into architecture diagrams, implementation backlogs, acceptance criteria, and functional prototypes.
• Recognize ambiguities, missing assumptions, engineering risks, security concerns, and implementation conflicts.
• Assist in evolving a conceptual architecture into reproducible, testable, and maintainable software.
• Develop production-quality Python services, APIs, data pipelines, background workers, and orchestration logic.
• Create clear service boundaries for data ingestion, entity resolution, evidence management, review workflows, reporting, audit logging, and model integration.
• Design and implement relational schemas, graph models, object-storage structures, retrieval indexes, and audit records.
• Construct canonical identity and entity-linking systems that resolve conflicting real-world records.
• Facilitate relationship topology, ownership mapping, provider-network analysis, and source-conflict preservation.
• Integrate model-serving infrastructure such as vLLM, KServe, Ray Serve, and Hugging Face, or equivalent tools when appropriate.
• Deploy services utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, CI/CD, RBAC, secrets management, observability, and secure environment practices.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, or an equivalent level of exceptional expertise.
• Proficient in Python engineering at an expert level.
• Experience in developing production backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
• Strong SQL and relational database design experience, preferably with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with graph databases, knowledge graphs, or complex relationship modeling.
• Experience with LLM integration, open-weight models, structured outputs, prompt/template management, or model-evaluation workflows.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, CI/CD, and secure deployment on cloud or private infrastructure.
• Knowledge in data validation, audit logging, RBAC, secrets management, and secure software design.
• Capability to design modular systems from ambiguous early-stage architecture.
• Skill in translating non-engineering conceptual guidance into tangible software architecture and implementation plans.
• Strong documentation skills in writing.
• Comfortable collaborating directly with a non-engineering concept architect.
• 100% employer-paid medical premiums for employees.
• Self-managed PTO with a minimum time-off requirement.
