Founding Engineer – Chat, Real-Time Features

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential chat and real-time functionalities for a healthtech product in production.

• Work closely with a small, cross-functional founding team to establish and implement the technical strategy.

• Create dependable, scalable services and adapt rapidly based on genuine user feedback.

• Engage in architecture and design discussions, balancing the urgency of delivery with long-term sustainability.

• Take ownership of components from start to finish — covering implementation, testing, monitoring, and observability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in delivering production software in real-time or chat-related environments.

• Strong engineering principles with hands-on, full-stack experience in building scalable and reliable services.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, early-stage setting.

• Proven experience in effectively collaborating within remote or distributed teams.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder — visa sponsorship is not currently available or will not be in the future.

🏝️ Benefits

• Base salary: $135,000 – $155,000 per year

• Equity: ~0.5% – 1.5%
