Curriculum Developer, 12 Month Contract – Primary/Elementary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Delivering foundational topics and recommending learning assessments based on curriculum performance tasks.

• Collaborating with the creative team to develop the content strategy and direction across various subject areas.

• Evaluating written creative briefs for new components (illustrations, photos, and/or videos) to confirm topic relevance and suitability for grade levels.

• Assessing the curriculum alignment of topics crafted by the creative team.

• Ensuring that the elements utilized are suitable for their intended educational objectives.

• Verifying that learning assessment activities created by the creative team correspond with the performance tasks outlined in the curriculum.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in education or a relevant primary/elementary teaching qualification (e.g., Primary or Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or Child Development/Psychology).

• Experience in teaching or developing content for primary/elementary students (approximately Grades K–6).

• Familiarity with a primary curriculum framework, such as the US Common Core, Australian Curriculum F–6, UK KS1–KS2, or the Philippine K–6 curriculum.

• Experience in creating curriculum-aligned content outside of a classroom environment — such as textbooks, modules, templates, or other multimedia materials.

• Exceptional English writing skills to create original content that aligns with Canva's voice and brand standards.

• Capability to convert curriculum knowledge into clear, actionable feedback for non-teaching stakeholders, including designers, project managers, and engineers.
