Forward Deployment Engineer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in configuring and deploying our existing AI voice agent for customers.

• Create and execute evaluation suites to verify functionality, identify regressions, and adjust prompts as new customers are integrated.

• Design and implement new features and fixes for the core product.

• Enhance latency, manage inference costs, and establish hallucination guardrails.

• Conduct and refine model evaluation, benchmarking, and observability throughout the product.

• Oversee cost management, usage tracking, and ensure compliance with security and PHI handling protocols.

• Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to translate customer needs into effective, validated deployments, while managing customer go-live, post-launch monitoring, and troubleshooting production issues.

• Assist in streamlining and automating the onboarding process to minimize the engineering effort required for each new customer launch.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Python backend development.

• At least 1 year of production experience working with LLM APIs, deploying and maintaining GenAI systems at scale.

• Experience with cloud-native architectures, preferably in AWS.

• Familiarity with regulated or security-sensitive environments.

• A product-oriented systems thinker, capable of navigating ambiguity and communicating effectively with executives.

• Experience in voice or conversational AI is advantageous.

• Ability to translate non-technical customer requirements into actionable configurations.
